Carmine, Marseille

Carmine is an Italian restaurant on the Vieux Port, not far from the City Hall (Hotel de Ville), with a superb view of Notre Dame de la Garde and the Vieux Port. Sipping their homemade cocktails is a delicious treat and the terrace is enjoyable after work, while waving hello to the Bonne Mère (“Good Mother”, Marseillais slang for Notre Dame de La Garde). The restaurant’s service is very pleasant and friendly. The menu is updated regularly, with fresh produce and fresh fish from the fishermen of the Vieux Port. The fine Italian dishes offered are authentic and bring out the best in this beautiful restaurant on the Quai du Port.
