Dan Racing, Marseille

Dan Racing is THE Rock'n'Roll bar in Marseille. Inside, this music-café-non-profit-organization is like an automotive Ali Baba s cave - walls decorated with road signs, rally plates, engines, old gas pumps, car parts, and tires used as ottomans. A big fan of cars and music, the boss, Dan, combined the two in 2001 by opening this place with a stage, open to all. Little by little, concerts started taking place. Since then, Dan Racing has welcomed more than 250 bands per year. Free concerts on weekends, and sometimes open stage, instruments provided (check programming). Concerts start at 9p. - P.Wicki
