The Municipal Archive of Marseilles occupies a very special place in the city's heritage. The treasured culture of Marseilles is enriched housing a collection of private documents. It currently holds over 20,000 works in its library collection, an exhibition of old French currency and medals comprising of a large number of pieces, and a mine of municipal archives-among the most important in the country.
