Rue du Petit St Jean and the area surrounding Place St Roch is often called the marais (meaning the swamp) of Montpellier. There is always a regular crowd here. The bar is on the ground floor and there's an upstairs room as well as a few outside tables. Pop in for an aperitif around 6p and you'll probably still be there at closing time.
