Diligence (La), Montpellier

Set in the historic heart of the city, this restaurant has two lovely vaulted dining rooms and a patio. Candles, linen tablecloths and beautiful white porcelain dishes complement the baroque decor in La Diligence, where you can savor traditional, gastronomic cooking. Worth noting is an excellent fish soup, elaborate main courses and original desserts accompanied by an excellent wine list. The service is flawless and the restaurant is occasionally frequented by celebrities staying at the nearby Hôtel de Noailles. Open for lunch Tuesday through Friday and dinner service on Monday through Saturday. Closed on Sunday.
