Famed French chef, Philippe Chapon (of Guy Savoy), opened his own restaurant here in Montpellier with the sole purpose of using fresh fruit and flowers in all of his dishes. The decor in Tamarillos is colorful and inviting, designed to awaken the senses of diners and bring the focus onto the artful cuisine which is chock full of vibrant colors, flavors and aromas. The restaurant has a variety of dishes and menus, ranging from gourmet lunch sandwiches, cheese plates, fish platters and decadent desserts. After all, Chapon taught the incredibly famous Chef Gordon Ramsay how to make dessert when he was just starting out. Quite the credentials! Open Tuesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner; dinner service only on Monday.
