Located above the Gare Montparnasse, Jardin de l'Atlantique is an architectural wonder and a must watch when at Paris. The garden or Jardin is spread over three hectares (8.5 acres) and has a lot of sub-sections to explore. The garden is accessible from a lot of locations, so you need not necessarily go to the train station, if you don't intend traveling. You could indulge in a game of tennis or ping-pong, or tag the kids along for a fun evening—as the park has a children's playground too. The various sections of the park have different names giving it an exotic touch. For instance, Pavillon des Roches and Pavillon des Vagues Bleues. Other interesting features include the "Room of Silence," where the circular wall made of flagstones, makes soothing sounds when tapped and the "Room of Moisture," where small waterfalls rush along four small walls. The ample greenery around the place will make you stay longer than you intended.
