Express Bar, Paris

Express Bar's red-tiled exterior is unusually contemporary for an old city such as Paris. So is the roomy interior, which offers more space for groups and more elbowroom for ones using a laptop than a typical Parisian café can provide. The local art displayed on Express Bar's walls is lit with warm red lamps, which emits a soothing atmosphere. Sip a hot chocolate in the company of a book, try one of the cocktails in the company of friends, or sample food served up by British chef Gary Willimont.
