This gorgeous 17th Century protestant church is steeped in a wealth of historical and architectural significance. Its construction began in 1616 when the Oratoriens bought an old estate, demolished it, and began to build a majestic church. The church was declared a royal chapel by Louis XIII, and was finally completed in 1740. Its majestic Merklin organ was originally constructed in 1898 and was restored in 1962. Oratoire du Louvre is the hub of a vital community and frequently hosts choral and classical concerts.
