As outward appearances go, Amore seems to be no more than your typical neighborhood Italian restaurant. Yet this is nothing less than a light at the end of the culinary tunnel in the this part of town. Unlike the competition four houses down the road, Amore is decorated in friendly pastels and unobtrusive wood, with Ferrari-red and white checkered tableclothes. No religious kitsch, artificial grotto walls, waterfalls or Chianti bottles covered with wax drippings. The food is standard cheapo Italian fare but with a twist. The mushrooms are fresh, the pasta served up in three colours, and the sauces much more than just "red" or "white" liquids. Service is fast and attentive and you're treated like a regular at your second visit. Highly recommended for a quick, filling and tasty meal.
