A shop with long opening hours - a rarity in Germany, apart from the odd shop in the former GDR, and a welcome and useful addition at that. The offerings include Italian antipasti, ciabatta and wine, all of which are not only available to enjoy on the premises, but can also be taken away. The range on offer extends to noodles, oil, cheese and ham, all the good things that you would expect of any self-respecting Italian delicatessen. You also get a good cup of coffee, which instead of taking home you might want to have sitting in the tall chairs under art nouveau lamps and look into the Hackeschen Höfe, where the bar is found. There is also a delivery service.
