Berliner Kaffeerösterei

Entered via a misleadingly narrow door just off Kurfürstendamm, the Berliner Kaffeerösterei is not so much a coffee house as a coffee temple and should be on every caffeine addict's agenda. A dizzying range of home-roasted coffee blends of all fragrances and strengths from Africa, Asia and Central America are available to the consumer in both the shop and the adjoining café/restaurant. Teetering piles of tea and chocolate and a splendid array of coffee gadgets and gizmos provide further distraction to shoppers, while visitors to the consistently-packed café may find it hard to resist a decadently delicious breakfast or quiche when ordering their immaculately-presented coffees. -Thomas Miodrag
