Brotfabrik is far away from theater town, in a part of the city rarely visited by tourists. A former bread factory, the building is now home to an art gallery, a cinema, theater and bar. The program incorporates rare and interesting works by the likes of Thomas Brasch, Botho Strauss, Carlo Goldoni and Fyodor Dostoyevsky. The theater does not have its own ensemble and thus relies upon guest companies for its productions. The 70-seat auditorium is also used for dance, performing arts, cabaret and lectures. Tickets can be ordered by email.
