Entering the theatre is like entering a new world, far away from everyday life. Andrei Woron´s "Teatr Kreatur" is a picturesque panorama of Russian and Polish dramatic tradition, carried forth in a flood of words and images. Polish-born Woron is actually a painter, which is clear from his creative use of everyday items (including rubbish) to create an atmospheric backdrop. The multicultural theatre group is one of Berlin's most outstanding fringe theatre groups. But even though "Teatr Kreatur" has received many awards, the theatre company is faced with the eternal Eastern European problem, lack of money.
