Overview
The Museum of European Cultures explores the similarities and differences as well as the interconnections between European cultures, placing a significant emphasis on the use of symbols. The museum was conceived as part of the wider scheme of European integration, and was designed in co-operation with other European nations. The European collections in the Museum für Völkerkunde were originally part of the Königlich-Preußischen Kunstkammer (Royal Prussian Art Collection)
