Schwartzsche Villa, Berlin

Miles away from the museums and galleries of the city centre, the area around Schloßstraße in Steglitz has become something of an unsung cultural outpost. With the Adria Filmtheater, the Schloßparktheater and the Wrangelschlösschen art gallery, this area certainly has plenty to offer arts lovers. A new addition to the cultural scene is Schwartzsche Villa. Although the building itself is old (erected in 1895) and was previously used for administrative purposes, it was recently transformed into an arts center. It now functions as a venue for theater performances, concerts and exhibitions. The villa is situated amidst beautiful parkland and also has a small café.
