The Werkstatt der Kulturen, cultural workshop in English is in the multi-ethnic district of Neukölln. This is a smaller version of the Haus der Kulturen der Welt that is a house of world culture in Tiergarten. With a 200-seat auditorium and a smaller stage in the basement, it is not as big as the Haus der Kulturen der Welt but the programs are equally varied. There is music, theatre, dance and literary readings by writers and artists from all over the world performing here. The annual street festival, the Karneval der Kulturen which is the carnival of the cultures, is also organised from here.
