Café Reichard, Cologne

Where can you get the best view of Cologne and enjoy a coffee? At Café Reichard. In summer you can sit under a large tree and enjoy the view of the cathedral square in front of the Kölner Dom! Simply Great! It may be a tourist trap, but elderly gentlemen love it, despite the high prices. After all, the good old days are much in evidence here, with traditional fräuleins in black dresses, white blouses and aprons, and little white socks. Some days they have violin music like in Vienna and for the colder months there's the winter garden. Younger customers tend to stay away, preferring the coffee at the trendier cafés, as they don't have to order a pot and because atmosphere here is rather low-key.
