This really is a Chinese palace: the lush interior furnishing with its wooden ornaments (not the usual plastic-kitsch) outdoes other Chinese restaurants by far. Along with this remarkable interior display, the food is highly recommended. Chinese cuisine from all regions of the country has been served to patrons here for years. The high quality at the China Palast makes it rather more expensive than Cologne's other Chinese restaurants. Main courses range between EUR 7-18, a 'Chinese Fondue' costs (for 2 or more people) 18 EUR per person and Peking duck is available for EUR 66 for 4 people, though it must be ordered in advance. If you are in a larger group, it might be a good idea to sit at one of the round tables with a revolving centre and just try a bit of everything!
