On first appearances Maximus seems fairly small, but when you wander along the bar and out into the beer garden, you will realise that it is huge. Waiters flit from table to table serving up tasty Milchkaffee and cool draught beer in the summer. The place is always bustling with a mixed crowd who come from the nearby Zwinger, Semper Opera House, Schauspielhaus Theatre and Haus der Presse media centre. Atmospheric and well worth a visit when you are in the centre of town.
