Alte Metzgerei, Dusseldorf

The old butcher shop, Alte Metzgerei, is today a modern snack bar on Hoffeldstrasse in Flingern. With its old-fashioned tiling and its contemporary seating arrangement (high stools at high tables), the Alte Metzgerei presents a uniquely pleasant atmosphere for the customer who needs a bite on the run. Three warm and hearty lunchtime specials are offered during the week. Lunchtime fare has included curried fish soup, green cabbage with sausage, spinach tortilla and beef goulash with noodles. Coffee and cake are available throughout the day and takeaway is also possible. -Shannon McKenna
