The Düsseldorf Puppet Theatre is located, in the splendid Palais Wittgenstein. It has 100 seats and a multi faceted program which ranges from fables, fairy tales and dramas to modern musical theater. The puppet theater, which was founded by the Zangerle family in 1956, looks back on a lively past in which there has been cooperation with well known people such as Michael Ende (1982), the receiving of the Literature Prize for the city of Düsseldorf (1983) as well as an exhibition dedicated to the puppet theater in a museum.
