Overview
Altona SV is one of the traditonal sports societies in Hamburg. Ambitious ice-skaters and ice sportsmen have been able to practise here since 1893. Figure skaters can have a go at difficult exercises, and those who fear the famous loop jump can try speed skating, a discipline the Altonaer SV has repeatedly been rather successful with. Ice-chess, better known as curling or ice-stick shooting, can be perfomed at the ASV. Due to a lack of sufficient ice-rinks, the ASV also offers other skating sports like rollerblade racing, inline-hockey, speedskating or figure skating with inline skates.
