The Altonaer Museum is not just a regional museum that is well worth a visit, but once a month it also becomes a concert hall for chamber concerts. Pieces by famous composers like Haydn, Mendelssohn, Bach, Grieg, Brahms, Shostakovich and many others are on the programme, as well as recitations of literary works such as those by the German writer Wilhelm Busch. The music is either performed by quartets or duets, but renowned soloists can also be seen here. The concerts are well worth a visit.
