Restaurant D. Kalligas, Hamburg

The Kalligas is a bit different from many other restaurants of its kind. If fries and coleslaw are what you expect, then you are in the wrong place. The Kalligas offers true Greek cuisine without massive heaps of meat on your plates. The daily specials on the board are much recommended. If you like fish dishes, you will be delighted with the menu. You can choose between garlic potatoes and nice noodles as a side-dish. Wine lovers will also appreciate the selection of fine wines here and the owner used to be a wine merchant and will give you his good advice. A bright marble floor and wicker-work chairs are a rather unusual interior for a Greek restaurant. There are no typical Greek statues around.
