The old steamer Schaarhörn has a much coveted place in local history and is a work of art in itself. Built in 1908 and fitted with two steam engines and two propellers to serve as one of Hamburg´s state yachts, its stylish interiors were created in art nouveau (Jugendstil) style. You can book your place on the ancient liner or charter the whole vessel if you so wish, making your experience on one of Germany's few steam ships memorable indeed. Dampfer Schaarhörn is located at Norderelbstraße in Hamburg´s port, which is best reached from the north via the old St.Pauli Elbtunnel. You can also take the metro to Veddel and then take bus 156 from the south of the city. To make an appointment, reserve a place or receive additional details, please visit their website.
