Overview
The massive black tongs affixed to the front of this popular eatery is just the beginning: inside, every manner of wood and metal implement is to be seen. Thankfully, the table service features only normal cutlery, all the better to enjoy the tasty and traditional German dishes. The menu isn't huge, but it is complemented by a few daily offerings, to be seen on the chalkboards out front, which often represent the best value. The tables are hugely thick blocks of wood, and the wooden chairs underneath them are just as strong.
