Cafe Gekco, Heidelberg

 Cafe Gekco is located just off the Bismarckplatz, in the impressive pale stone Denner Hotel. The decor is new, modern, and eclectic, with considerable metal detailing that lends an air of sleek austerity. Guests can mostly expect to mingle with a young, trendy crowd, which appreciates the mix of style and good value. Many come just for drinks, especially in the evenings, but there is a menu available offering a decent choice of meat, vegetable and pasta dishes with German, Italian and Spanish origins. A good thing to do is, if you're in a group of four or more, order lots of tapas and share them.
