Leipzig's cultural plurality is reflected in its churches. The Russische Gedächtniskirche is situated near the War Memorial and is supposed to commemorate the Russian soldiers who fell in the massacre. Its exterior is very interesting. You can see its twin golden cupolas gleaming from afar. Inside many Russian icons are housed and they also say Mass in German.
