In Lubeck you can often spontaneously join one of the summer town walks without an appointment. The two-hour walk starts in front of the Lubeck Information Centre located inside the historic Kanzleigeb. The round trip begins with a tour of the Town Hall, including the Audienzsaal, the former court and the hall of the city parliament, which provides a useful introduction to the city history. Before the tour continues, you can learn a lot about Bach and Buxtehude at St.Mary's opposite the town hall. On your way to the museum church of St. Katharine's and you will pass by the City theatre. The next attraction is a guided tour of the Heiligen-Geist-Hospital. The trip ends at St. Jacobi, across the street from the Schiffergesellschaft. In May, June and October, tours start at 2p on weekdays and at 11a on Sundays and holidays. From November to April, tours start at 2p on Saturdays and at 11a on Sundays and holidays.
