Barysphär, Munich

Barysphär is the only restaurant in Munich with a bouncer. To get in, you really need a reservation, and the experience is an elite one. The menu is a bizarre combination of new age cuisine and the truly strange. More popular dishes include the bison, ostrich or ostrich steak, a variety of curries from places such as Bengal and Africa and an exotic appetizer menu. The club downstairs is a brick-walled basement lair, complete with individual niches with leather sofas and a hip DJ. For those who crave a trendy bar and gourmet food, this is the place. Just be sure to reserve.
