Pamir, Munich

According to some, behind this building's unassuming facade lies one of the best oriental restaurants in Munich. Once inside the Pamir, there's certainly a surprise in store, with stylish carpeted walls and indoor fountains, perhaps a little tacky at first if you're not used to it. The dishes are typically oriental, i.e. pleasantly spicy, and come served with a variety of different types of rice. There isn't a vast choice, but everything is freshly prepared. Try giving the beer a miss for a change and asking staff, ever helpful and obliging, to get you a tea to match your meal.
