Bratwursthäusle, Nuremberg

The Bratwursthäusle (Roasted Sausage House!) is conveniently located opposite the town hall and next to the church of St. Seebald. Come here to try some of the city's famous sausages, but please don't cover them in ketchup! In the summer you can sit outside on the terrace in front of the restaurant. Lots of tourists come here but don't let that put you off, the food is fantastic!The roasted sausages are filled with spices such as Caraway seeds and Thyme and most manufacturers also put in that obligatory touch of garlic! The delicacy is best eaten with 'Kren' (Horseradish), potato salad or Sauerkraut (pickled cabbage). If you are in a hurry then order 'Zwei im Weckla', which simply means 'two in bread roll'.
