Gasthaus Rottner, Nuremberg

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, away from the Old Town, that's where you'll find this restaurant. The Gasthaus Rottner is situated in Grossreuth near Schweinau in the middle of a lovely beer garden and if you like, you can even stay the night. It doubles up as a guesthouse. You'll have a bit of a struggle with the menu though, what will you choose! What about the fish with herb mousse, wild boar with cabbage? You'll be hard pushed to decide! The desserts are just as delicious and the Carthusian dumplings in red wine sauce are a well-established favorite. The Rottner is definitely a good place to visit, if you want to explore the surrounding areas in more detail.
