Overview

In a leafy residential suburb just south of the 2004 Olympic Stadium, this modest-looking restaurant offers truly creative Mediterranean cooking at reasonable prices. The owner-chef Stathis once worked at Varoulko, one of the most famous restaurants in Athens, but here he has made his own quiet masterpiece.  The seafood is great - carefully sourced and cooked with rare delicacy - but even the Greek standards like taramosalata and aubergine salad are given unusual interpretations that bring new life to old favorites. The staff are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly, and Stathis himself likes to tour the tables and meet his happy customers.  This is a popular place, so make sure to book. -Alex Martin
