Making its mark in 1883, this elegantly styled theater is dubbed by locals as "the casino" as it was formerly The Casino of Lipótváros. The "neobaroque" style pays homage to the classical and innovative performances that grace the stage. Construction was completed in 1895 with artist Lajos Márk painting several murals inside. Both Mark Twain and Antonin Dvorak have given performances inside.
