Gallery Hnoss, Reykjavik

A handcrafts gallery proffering bags and belts made of fish skin, and hats made of seal skin, fish skin and other materials. Other accessories include jewellery and ornaments made of leather, fish skin, bone, horn, wood, glass and Icelandic stone, as well as the traditional gold and silver jewellery. The gallery also has a beautiful collection of small and elegant hand-carved ornaments - birds, animals and people carved out of local wood. This style of ornaments has in recent years become very popular. On top of that the gallery also offers various tourist items, such as small Viking-style objects and knives, runes and magic symbols. Seven artists, all working in different materials, provide hand-crafted items for the gallery.
