Overview
Gallery Reykjavík, located on gallery street Skólavörðustígur, is one of Reykjavík's largest commercial galleries, and it is also relatively new, starting its activities in August of 1999. The Gallery's main emphasis is on offering a wide variety of art by contemporary artists in oil and acrylic paintings, watercolors, pastel and graphic works, glass and ceramics, drawings and sculptures. In January 2000 an exhibition hall was added to the Gallery's collection for sale, and artists who have works for sale in this gallery are given the opportunity to stage exhibitions for one week only.
