Overview
As the name indicates, Textílkjallarinn is a textiles gallery and workshop, located on Barónstígur behind the towering landmark of Hallgrímskirkja. The gallery is the studio of Icelandic designer Hrönn Vilhelmsdóttir, who makes handprinted and painted textiles for children and adults, such as bedcovers, sheets, scarves and other fabrics made of cotton, satin, silk and wool. Hrönn's work is beautifully colorful, elegant and functional, and has been very popular among Icelanders and foreign visitors alike.
