Caffè della Corte, Bologna

The Caffè della Corte is one of most unique restaurants in Bologna. Its delightful location in the courtyard of one of the oldest and most prestigious palaces of the city, Palazzo Isolani, gives it an intimate feel. The menu offers mostly local specialties, focusing on salads, pasta dishes, and other cold dishes. Another popular feature is the tea break at the Caffè della Corte, with nine varieties of tea and fifteen different hot chocolates to choose from. A mark of the restaurant's historic location is the "water well room", an old water well used in the palace, still intact in one corner of the dining room. -Stefano Felicori
