This museum was planned by Father Leonardo Montalti. In 1923, he began collecting numerous works from sacred places owned by the Cappuccini family. Subsequently helped by Leone Pancaldi, he put together a large number of pieces which became part of what is today an extremely interesting collection. There are over 100 items with sculptures by Angelo Piu, Zaccaria Zacchi and paintings by Bartolomeo Cesi, Bartolomeo Passarotti, Gandolfi, Denijs Calvaert etc.
