Taverna Mascarella, Bologna

The restaurant is conveniently located in the University district and near Bologna’s most interesting museums. Taverna Mascarella offers a restricted lunch-menu at a reduced price along with a vegetarian alternative. It consists of a pasta dish, a main course, and a side dish with a choice of 3 or 4 options. As for wine there are liter, half-liter and quarter-liter (which means 2 glasses) carafes, but they sell by the glass too. The menu for dinner features a wider variety of choice including some Sardinian dishes, as one of the owners moved to Bologna from that island. - Maria Frullini
