The historic restaurant Sandro al Navile has been established in Bologna for over a century, and stands in a green, peaceful area of the city just outside the center. The menu has been specialty designed with great care, and includes traditional recipes which have been conserved unaltered, so that the dishes still retain their original flavors: green tortellacci with Porcini mushrooms, tender rabbit, and dead leaf steak (cooked directly in the flames). There is a rich selection of homemade desserts, including Paciugo di Sandro, with sponge cake filled with vanilla cream and zabaione. The wine list will satisfy even the most demanding of connoisseurs, including many local and national vintages, and over 300 types of whisky.
