Pontelungo trattoria has been established certainly since the early 1900s as the writer Bacchelli tells the story of some anarchists who stopped off and met at the restaurant then known as the "Osteria del Pontelungo" in his book The Devil of Pontelungo. It has been run by the Cassanelli brothers since 1973 who offer their guests typical Emilian cuisine with a few delicious variants. The restaurant can seat 80 and has a summer veranda. The menu includes House Salad with Parmesan and Mortadella, Tagliatelle, Tortellini, Lasagna, Maccheroncini with tomato and horsemeat sauce, Potatoes with Mushroom and Truffles, Barley Soup, Roast Horse, Roast Ostrich, Meatballs with Balsamic Vinegar, Baked Ham, Lamb Chops, Panna cotta with coffee, and Rice Cake. There are also seasonal dishes made with Porcini mushrooms and white truffle. The wine list has 50 labels, mostly from the Bologna and Emilian areas.
