To the great joy of both Bolognese locals and tourists alike, the traditional Spiga restaurant, established in the heart of Bologna in 1933, has been recently reborn. The new management, Antonella and Barbera, have created a simple and welcoming atmosphere where you can appreciate and savor the flavors and aromas of times past. The chef Luigi prepares a new menu every day. Dishes which absolutely must be sampled include: maltagliati in bean soup, pappardelle with mushrooms, portafogli alla petroniana, Bolognese cutlets, ricotta with honeyed chestnuts, panna cotta and mascarpone. At lunchtime there is a reduced price menu of the day.
