The Trattoria Verde Luna is not far from the Porta San Felice, and serves specialties from Calabria, as well as several Emilian dishes. The rustic decor and the friendliness of the Esposito family make the atmosphere pleasantly welcoming. Most of the dishes are fish based, and are given a spicy, Calabrese twist: Spaghetti with clams, Spaghetti allo scoglio (with shrimp, mussels, squid, octopus and other seafood), Spicy Anchovies and Sardines and Grilled, Tender Fillets. House specialties include dishes prepared with frog, such as Spaghetti and rice with frog. On request, the chef also produces Maccheroni alla calabrese with goat meat and goat's cheese or Stewed Frog. Desserts are homemade and the Limoncello served is authentic and produced by local distillers.
