Caffellatte, Florence

This small café is housed in an old-fashioned creamery in the University area. As the name suggests, Caffellatte is first of all a breakfast and brunch place offering cakes, pastries, cappuccino, coffee, several teas and herbal infusions. However, it is known most of all for its healthy food and vegan and vegetarian cooking. It is one of the few veg-friendly restaurants in a town in which traditional cooking features mostly meat! Vegan dishes on the menu include homemade soups, vegetable purée and quiches. They also serve different kind of flans and cheeses and some macrobiotic specialties. - Maria Frullini
