Overview
Cappella del Tau was built in 1360 and was served by the monks of the Franciscan order who cared for sick and needy. The Chapel presented a distinct style of decoration with frescoes of Niccolo di Tommaso that covered the walls and the ceilings. Although partially ruined, the splendor and artistic value of these can be observed from the surviving frescoes like Life of St. Anthony Abbot and the stories of Creation and Original Sin.
