Gelateria La Carraia, located just off Santa Trinità Bridge, has some fancy views of Florence’s historical district and the Arno. Of course, the house-made gelato is the main attraction, a rotating array of all-time favorites plus a handful of delicious twists on classic specialties. You can’t find gelato this good at a price so low, unless of course you happen to drop by their sister shop Gelateria La Carraia 2 near Piazza Santa Croce. While the recipes come from old tradition, Gelateria La Carraia has gone futuristic, tossing out ancient and hard-to-read handwritten signs and upgrading to digital flavor displays. That said, they’re great at giving old-fashioned advice on a good combo to fill up your cone. Who says perfection isn’t possible? - Camille Musette Lina
