Limonaia di Villa Strozzi, Florence

The Limonaia di Villa Strozzi lies on the grounds of the Villa Strozzi and the Parco del Boschetto, and is one of the premier exhibition spaces in the city. As a part of a redevelopment project of the entire facility, the city government carefully chose architects from all over the world, ensuring the modifications would not mar the original beauty of the structure. The project took almost two decades and the renovated Limonaia di Villa Strozzi was opened in July of 1998. Today, the splendid neo-classical architecture of the structure, carefully modeled by Italian architect Giovanni Michelucci is the home of one of the city’s busiest event venues.
